Whilst loud noise is mostly associated with hearing loss or hearing disorders, this review by Hahad et al. (2024) discusses the different physiological and psychological pathways through which lower noise levels impact health and well-being. Beyond the wealth of evidence linking lower noise to cardiovascular ailments, this review focuses on mental health.
